It changes with time and circumstances
My Dad continues to have minimal appetite and decreased ability to swallow. It is a continual uphill climb to nourish him. Some people ask me why I try. I don’t know how not to try.
It is with great satisfaction I sit by his bed as he sips a morning smoothie concocted “on the fly.”
He tells me he is proud he can hold the cup.
This smoothie consists of:
1 packet Carnation Instant Breakfast
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup ice cubes

feeding children takes some thought into who you are and how you will handle your home. I was in the end of the open kitchen which was unwise. I was so involved in trying to create a Happy home that I often forgot rules. I don’t advise this.
Interesting how convenience makes a difference. Is it tiredness that leads us to fast foods or is it stress reactions? Is it the comfort of food? Is it hunger?

Start with 1/4 cup and add more once blended if you want to thin out . Then enjoy the bounty of a healthy breakfast.
