Morning meal

It changes with time and circumstances

My Dad continues to have minimal appetite and decreased ability to swallow. It is a continual uphill climb to nourish him. Some people ask me why I try. I don’t know how not to try.

It is with great satisfaction I sit by his bed as he sips a morning smoothie concocted “on the fly.”

He tells me he is proud he can hold the cup.

This smoothie consists of:

1 packet Carnation Instant Breakfast

1 cup almond milk

1 banana

1/2 cup ice cubes

2 prunes

Finding smoothies

Smooth sailing into the morning with a pineapple, blueberry, banana, kale breakfast drink👍🏻  Simple to make with blending device    Keep fruit and vegetables handy in freezer and add almond milk to smooth out produce .  1/4 kale to 3/4 fruit with almond milk.  Start with 1/4 cup and add more once blended if you want to thin out .  Then enjoy the bounty of a healthy breakfast.D7D68E38-B7BB-40BA-B2F1-20E8D0C390E2
