I think summer was meant for me to be seaside, but life did not happen that way so I think in terms of enjoying life outside. My last weekend included dinner at Sulphur Wells, in the heart of Kentucky , where food is served family style and Kentucky country ham and fried chicken is at the center of the table.

Working on developing easy healthy snack and meal ideas for children; conducting a culinary camp for 100 children this week; am so excited.
I have had a wonderful winter day looking at old cookbooks from area churches and discussing the people with my parents. I am still working on re-creating my great-aunt’s hot cake sauce, one of the many dishes that I saw come together around the marble table.
